About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in the Payment Processing domain to support the Transit and Legacy Gateway product lines. This role sits within the product organization and works closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, QA Teams, and Client-Facing Product Specialists.
The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business needs and technical delivery, translating complex payment domain requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. The role also involves leveraging AI tools to create developer portal content, training materials, and market research outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Utilize deep knowledge of payment processing, including Authorization, Capture, Settlement, and Chargebacks.
- Perform backlog refinement and participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies.
- Ensure stories are sprint-ready with appropriate detail and context.
- Conduct gap analysis across products to identify risks, dependencies, and potential impacts.
- Collaborate with Developers, QA Teams, Product Managers, Product Owners, and Client-Facing Product Specialists.
- Support roadmap prioritization by understanding client needs, market trends, and product strategy.
- Create and maintain content for the Transit Developer Portal.
- Develop technical documentation, how-to guides, and short-form educational content.
- Leverage AI tools for developer portal content creation, market research, and training materials.
- Build and maintain chatbot capabilities for the Developer Portal using AI accelerator frameworks.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly product discussions.
- Support multiple product lines, including Virtual Terminal, Hosted Payments, Gateway, Co-branded, and Commercial Products.
- Provide accurate business context and specifications to development teams to ensure successful delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role.
- Proven experience within the Payment Processing or FinTech industry.
- Strong understanding of:
- Payment Gateways
- Transaction Processing
- Authorization Flows
- Capture Processes
- Settlement Processes
- Chargebacks
- Hands-on experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in backlog management and sprint planning.
- Strong user story writing and acceptance criteria definition skills.
- Experience conducting gap analysis, risk assessment, and impact analysis.
- Familiarity with Developer Portals, API Documentation, and Technical Content Creation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Training or certification in AI Accelerator Programs.
- Experience with AI-powered content generation tools.
- Experience working with Global Payments or similar payment processing organizations.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted product development workflows.
- Experience creating technical training content and short-form educational videos.
- Knowledge of Developer Portal management and chatbot frameworks.
